SUNNIER DAYS ARE COMING

Monday, May 30, 2016

It is the last few days of school and almost everyone I know already has plans of what they are going to do whether it be taking summer courses to graduate on time, backpacking across Asia, or working back home to make some money for the upcoming year. Coming home this summer is going to be a whole lot different than previous summers. My best friend who I am use to spending most of my summer days with will be staying at her University the entire summer. My other friends who live back home have jobs and a set schedule making it difficult for me to spend as much time with them as I would like to. I am very fortunate and excited to intern for a fashion company this summer along with my online internship, but I do want to make sure that on top of working hard I have time for myself and with my loved ones. I stumbled upon a quote the other day that said "Do everything with so much love in your heart that you would never want to do it any other way".  I want to wake up each morning excited for what the day has in store for me whether it be going on a spontaneous road trip with my cousin or updating the social media sites for my internship. I want to stay outside as much as possible enjoying the sun, time with my loved ones, and time with myself. To achieve my summer goal, I have made a bucket list that I hope will keep me motivated to enjoy the sunnier Southern California days.

1. Take photographs of absolute everything.
2. Drive along the Pacific Coast Highway.
3. Enjoy a picnic at the Golden Gate Park with my two best friends.
4. Visit my SD friends for a weekend or two.
5. Go to local farmer's markets.
6. Wake up with the sun (I naturally wake up at 7 am so I do not think this will be too hard for me)
7. Do more DIY skincare products and give them to my friends.
8. Take care of my skin more! SPF, moisturizer, eye cream!!
9. Blog every Sunday.
10. Do an awesome job in my two internships.
11. Surprise my mom with fresh flowers.
12. Have a bonfire.
13. Learn how to make my own granola.
14. Go paddle boarding.
15. Visit Utah and New Mexico.
16. Visit Malibu more often.
17. Attend concerts.
18. Do something that scares me everyday.
19. Always say YES.
20.Go hiking three times a week.
21. Talk to strangers.
22. Go to the beach. LA does not have the best beaches, so I guess I'll just have to drive longer.
23. Cook more at home.
24. Do yoga at the beach.
25. Go to the zoo.
26. Go to a theme park.
27. Learn how to curl my hair--honestly I am a GROWN WOMAN.
28. Wear more color.
29. Get a gym membership to continue boxing.
30. Go strawberry picking.
31. Do little random acts of kindness daily.
